I found my very first grey hair today. Or is it gray? I've never learned the difference, but I have a hunch one of the Wallaces can tell me. It was shocking and oddly exciting. It may have been there a while, but since I've been dying my hair for so many years, who knew? feels like: BAM. you're thirty. BAM. you have a five year old kid. BAM. Grey hair. It all sort of hits at once.

Either spelling is correct. "Gray" being more common but they are alternate spellings for the same word.
Now, to pull or not? I always pulled out the first of my gray hairs. You'll have to decide that for yourself.
I'm leaving 'em in. I have thin enough hair as it is.
been pullin' my grey's for a year now :( but I guess I should consider myself lucky - my mom was going grey when she was 18!!!
and we're grey in canada, but then again, up there it's a colour and not a color. and we write cheques not checks. and we don't have target. blech.
Tidbit- you are "grey" in Canada because according to Webster's that is how the Brit's spell "gray"
,,,like Earl Grey Tea, which Poppy loves. So you have a grey hair? Welcome to Winnie's World! Actually I think in contrast to media hype there is something wonderful about getting older (and wiser). Call me Pollyanna!
I was fairly grey at 30. Plucked a few. Wish I had them back now. Welcome to wrighthood. Love, poppy
*reads mom's comment* How can you always pull the first of your grey hairs? There's only one first, eh? *puzzledness*
Well Mariah, I personally don't think grey is a bad thing. If it depresses you, there's always purple hair dye! So you can be a 30-something pretending to be a 20-something.
Ha - a category on Jeopardy today was "Superstition," and apparantly pulling out grey hairs causes even more to grow. ;) Smart woman.
