got to see the houston zoo this weekend all halloweened up: pumpkins everywhere, fun times on the train, a friendly haunted house that jack raced through repeating, "where's the candy??" and pictures with the same lion that papaw used to force my mom to pose with when she was little (ahh, tradition!). saw some elephants and giraffes (no, they weren't dressed up!) and pretty much pooped out after that. thanks for the zooventure, mom!

these are great pics - better than mine I got yesterday. LOVE that water fountain - CUTE! want to go there sometime : ) oh and OUR giraffes were dressed up, bears too...
I've often wondered how many kids end up in the "reflecting pond". It's at such an inviting level with no barriers and Houston can be soooooooooo hot and ..... Shall we take a poll?
Are my kids the only ones who haven't been to a zoo?
